Rajat Patidar was born in Madhya Pradesh 

Indian cricketer Result Patidar was born on 1 June 1993 in a Hindu family in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Rajat Patidar is a middle-order batsman and is also known for right-handed off-break bowling. Rajat Patidar’s father’s name is Manohar Patidar. Rajat Patidar has a brother whose name is Mahendra Patidar and his sister’s name is Sunita Patidar.

After continuous great performances at the junior level, Rajat Patidar got a chance to play for Madhya Pradesh in Ranji Trophy where he made his debut in first class cricket in 2015.

After this, he made his debut in Zonal T20 League T20 cricket for Madhya Pradesh on 8 January 2018. From here, Rajat Patidar’s career continued to improve and flourish.

After brilliant performances in the Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy, in the year 2021, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team included Rajat Patidar in their team at the base price of Rs 20 lakhs. Rajat Patidar made his IPL debut on 9 April 2021 for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the Chennai Super Kings. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to leave a major mark in the tournament, scoring 71 runs in four matches.

Rajat Patidar exploded in IPL 2022

After a forgettable IPL 2021 season, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team once again included Rajat Patidar in their team at the base price of Rs. 20 Lakhs. He was signed on as a replacement for the injured Lavnith Sisodia.

However, Rajat Patidar’s performance in the year 2022 was excellent. He scored a brilliant century in the eliminator match against Royal Challengers Bangalore Lucknow Supergiants and played an important role in taking the team to the second qualifying match. Rajesh Patidar was also the man of the match in this match. Overall, Rajat Patidar scored 333 runs in eight matches during the tournament. He averaged 55.50 and scored two half centuries and a century. 

The Royal Challengers Bangalore retained Rajat Patidar for IPL 2023 as well. Unfortunately, Rajat Patidar suffered an Achilles tendon injury and was ruled out of the tournament.
